For more than four decades, Michael Zomber has been collecting armor and antiques. Zomber has served as a guest historian for the Tales of the Gun series on the History Channel. Episodes include Guns of the Famous, Dueling Pistols, Automatic Pistols, Guns of the Orient, Million Dollar Guns and Automatic Pistols. He is also recognized internationally as an authority on Japanese samurai swords.
Essentially, Michael Zomber is a storyteller. He has written more than a dozen screenplays, as well as several historical novels such as Sweet Betsy That’s Me: A Child Of the Civil War and Shogun Iemitsu, as well as a non-fiction work entitled Jesus and the Samurai. These works are currently print for readers to enjoy. Zomber’s documentary Soul of the Samurai is critically acclaimed, and was produced with Andrea, his wife, by their company, Renascent Films LLC.
Zomber is an experienced historian, and is well acquainted with the dangers and horrors that come with wars and armed conflict. He is an avid supporter of the NGO’s mission to promote peace. Zomber also supports Global Exchange, Doctors Without Borders, Amnesty International and UNICEF.
According to his website bio, the Zombers have two children, Gabriella and Christopher, and live in the Philadelphia area. Zomber is a native of Washington, D.C. and has a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Psychology from UCLA, where he graduated with honors. Michael Zomber also has a master’s degree in English literature from the school.
